Manchester, New Hampshire, to Bar Harbor, Maine

Today was hot. Very hot. The skies were clear and blue, something we had hoped for and that we really appreciate. What we did not expect was temperatures and humidity like that we enjoy in Nashville. Most of our day was spent in 94 degree weather with over 80% humidity.
We spent most of the morning standing around the Raddison parking lot waiting for the stuff Bill shipped from Nashville to arrive.
You would think that something shipped from Nashville last week would arrive in plenty of time. Not to mention anyone by name, but the express service not headquartered in Memphis that has trucks painted in an earthtone failed us miserably. To make a long story short, the shipment finally arrived at 12:00. Actually, it didn't actually arrive. Bill had to get on his bike and chase down the delivery truck.
So, we finally left Manchester at 1:00. By 6:00 we arrived in Bar Harbor, Maine, after riding 277 miles.
A lot happened today but we 're not going to tell you about it right now.
Your author was faced with a tough choice. Write the blog, or go out to dinner and have a nice Maine lobster. The lobster was great. You will hear about it as well as other things later in the day. For now, this is all you get.
We catch the ferry to Nova Scotia tomorrow morning at 7:00, leaving little time to chronicle the events of Day 6. The ferry ride is three hours, which should provide the time to write up today's events.
Bye. Until later today.
